Position Overview

The Entertainment Operations Manager leads all day-to-day live entertainment operations for Dazzling Nights Orlando, ensuring that performances, staffing, and on-site execution run smoothly and consistently throughout the event season.

This role serves as the primary on-site authority for the Entertainment department, overseeing performers and staff while making real-time decisions that support show quality, team performance, and overall guest experience. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who is comfortable managing teams, solving problems in the moment, and operating with a high level of ownership and accountability.

Core Responsibilities

Pre-Season Support

  • Assist with auditions, casting coordination, and rehearsals
  • Help prepare performers and teams for a successful opening
  • Support the ongoing refinement of SOPs in collaboration with the Director of Live Entertainment

Scheduling & Staffing

  • Build and manage performance schedules for the duration of the event
  • Adjust staffing plans as needed to meet operational demands
  • Ensure consistent and appropriate coverage across all entertainment areas

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Act as the primary liaison between Entertainment and internal teams including Production, A/V, Costuming, and Site Operations
  • Communicate updates, needs, and challenges clearly and proactively
  • Collaborate to resolve issues that impact performances or operations

 Process Execution & Improvement

  • Execute established workflows and operational procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organization

Operations & On-Site Leadership

  • Lead daily execution of all entertainment operations during the event run
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker for real-time operational needs
  • Maintain performance quality, timing, and consistency across all entertainment offerings
  • Act as the on-site lead in the absence of the Director of Live Entertainment

Team Leadership & Communication

  • Directly manage performers, stage managers, and entertainment staff
  • Provide clear communication, expectations, and day-to-day leadership
  • Address staffing needs, call-outs, and coverage adjustments
  • Foster a professional, accountable, and supportive team environment
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all entertainment staff

Oversight & Reporting

  • Monitor performance quality and team effectiveness
  • Maintain daily reports including attendance, staffing updates, and notable issues
  • Communicate key updates and insights to leadership

Position Scope

This role is responsible for the execution and management of all on-site entertainment operations.

The Director of Live Entertainment retains oversight of creative direction, casting decisions, and overall departmental strategy.

Compensation & Employment Structure

Position type:  Part-time / Seasonal

Hourly Rate: $28 – $35 per hour, based on experience

This is a part-time seasonal role with hours that will vary based on the project phase. During the pre-season planning period, weekly hours may be limited and scheduled based on project needs. 

the role may scale up to a maximum of 40 hours per week during the primary rehearsal period and lilve event season, beginning in the fall. 

Estimated Weekly Pay (40 hrs max): 

$1,120 – $1,400

Estimated Seasonal Total:

$5,600 – $9,000+ - Based on final season length, confirmed scope, and approved weekly hours. 

Availability is required during evenings, weekends, and peak event periods. Additional hours must be pre-approved and are not expected as part of standard operations.
